Sterrenplaten: Vrijkaarten Rafael Toral (STUK) en Interview Ale Hop!

Nu vrijdag heeft Sterrenplaten een interview met de Ale Hop en geeft het vrijkaarten weg voor het concert van Rafael Toral in STUK!

Alejandra Cárdenas Pacheco, ook bekend als Ale Hop, is een in Berlijn gevestigde Peruaanse artieste en onderzoekster. Haar muziek, een mix van gitaartechnieken en synthesizers, is live intens en op plaat subtiel. We praten in STUK met Alejandra over deze tegenstellingen, het hedendaagse Peru, touren en haar toekomstplannen. (Foto (c) Udo Siegfriedt)

Rafael Toral, de Portugese gitaarvirtuoos en componist, brengt zijn album ‘Spectral Evolution’ (Drag City) live op 6 november in de STUK Soetezaal in Leuven. ‘Spectral Evolution’ kan beschouwd worden als een samenvatting van Toral’s oeuvre en is een van de beste ambient releases van het jaar (Foto (c) Curtas Vila do Conde International Film Festival). Naast Toral zal het duo L’oriole optreden, bestaande uit Clara Levy en Stéphane Clor. Zij vermengen de klankkleur van hun snaarinstrumenten met ‘transducers’ – zeg maar speakertjes – op allerlei objecten. Het geluid van de akoestische instrumenten vibreert door verschillende materialen en biedt de meest subtiele en zinderende texturen.
