E B U is het allter ego van van Ella Paine, een performance artieste, vocaliste en producer uit Bristol. Ze bracht haar debuutalbum ‘Hinge’ in 2019 uit op het NoCorner-label, dat je bv. ook kent van bv, Hodge, SeekersInternational, Ossia en Jabu. 

Afgelopen november releaste ze nog haar nieuwe EP ‘Mortal‘ uit op Chileense Infinito Audio Label. En ook in 2022 werkt ze aan nieuwe muziek.

Een lang verhaal kort: E B U maakte voor Sterrenplaten een 90 minuten mixtape en we zijn apetrots dat we ze je deze week mogen laten horen. Luisteren komende vrijdag van 21u-22u30 (CET) is de boodschap, via Radio Scorpio op 106FM, www.radioscorpio.be, of eender welke radio-app.

Over de mixtape geeft ze het volgende mee:

“I am interested in human emotion and try to tap into this with the music I make and the songs of others. I seek connection and symbiosis through sounds, voice or atmosphere which take the listener to other spaces familiar to the body, and resonate on a level that is beyond words. To emote is to call the soul back to its feeling state, overriding the mind and bringing you home to your energetic being. Surrendering to music is an act of freedom, a point at which we allow ourselves to suspend intangibly in the ambience of the moment. May this mix take you places beyond the physical”
